What is VAT?
In the United Kingdom, VAT is charged at a rate of 17.5% on most goods and services, thus Scattered Media Ltd is obliged to charge all their exhibitors VAT at 17.5% on their exhibition and related expenses for services utilised in the United Kingdom.
Non-UK exhibitors are unable to reclaim the VAT charged by Scattered Media Ltd through their home country's VAT process. A separate application MUST be made to the UK VAT authorities.
How can VAT Alliance save you money?
Scattered Media Ltd has formed a partnership with VAT Alliance, who can reclaim the VAT charged on behalf of Scattered Media Ltd's international clients. VAT Alliance will attend to all matters involved in the application to the relevant VAT authority, and will refund you as soon as the refund is received from the relevant VAT authority.
Thus minimal input is required on your part.

THERE
ARE NO COSTS INVOLVED. Our aim is to turn our client's expenses into
cash and to save them money. We work on a contingency basis and only take
a percentage of the VAT that gets reclaimed back from the authorities.
For all international travel, a VAT Alliance representative will be glad
to advise your company as to the scope of reclaim, based on your specific
travel requirements.
